why did Muslim al-Andalus fall?
Part of the reason was the growing strength of the Christian kingdoms in Europe at the same time that al-Andalus was wracked by civil strife. Muslim strength began a long decline following the Battle of Tours in 732 where Charles Martel and the Frankish kingdoms had stopped their advance into Europe. At one point, al-Andalus disintegrated into many Muslim kingdoms fighting against each other making them easy prey to aggressive Christian armies. But it was a slow process. The Reconquista still took centuries to complete, though, before the last Muslim stronghold of Granada fell in 1492.
i disagree with this statement , yet today there are hardly any Muslims in Spain @nerd I visited Spain and studied it and have family members and friends a lot that live in spain that are muslim
