is 0 an odd /even integer or neither

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As far as I remember the current definition is that it is neither.

Directrix (directrix):

Zero has to be even. Zero is neither positve nor negative, however.

Parth (parthkohli):

@carl_gauss No. Zero is divisible by 2.

Parth (parthkohli):

Also, if an integer is before an odd integer, then the integer is even. We know that 1 is odd, so 0 becomes even automatically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

interesting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

neither

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

As ParthKohli says, the integers on either side are odd, therefore, Zero has to be even. For n+1 or n-1 the integer can only be even if 'n' is odd. -1+1=0, 1-1=0, both 1 and -1 are odd integers and adding or subtracting 1 from it results in an even integer.
