i'll be doing a B.Tech in CSE from India can any one guide on the various steps and provide help on how to use these courses effectively
anyone?
I'm a slow learner, so I have to work pretty hard in order to fully understand something. I'm doing the 6.00SC course (2011), but at the same time I'm doing the 6.00 (fall 2008) along with using the books/tools in these ways: 1. Using the Think Python Book index for Quick Lookup - http://www.greenteapress.com/thinkpython/ (Chapter1 is a great chapter to read for anyone new to programming) 2. Reading Exploring Python Book - Author does a great job explaining Python and has you type the code he is writing. 3. Use Linux - There is a reason why the instructors are using a Mac and it's because of it's unix environment. If you don't have a Mac or have the money to afford one, use Ubuntu and install Python with IDLE. 4. Find Study Partner/Group - Watch the videos on your own, then do the assignments together. 6.00SC 2011 - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00sc-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-spring-2011/ 6.00 2008 Fall - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/index.htm
