I need someone to check this for me! Somehow I got 90degrees when I solved for x which I know is not the answer. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN (diagram in comments)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (phi):

all closed 5 sided figures have 5 internal angles that add up to 540 degrees (just like all 3 sided closed figures add up to 180)

OpenStudy (phi):

not enough info?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's true. But I'm still not sure how to find x

OpenStudy (phi):

start by writing down the angles added together and set equal to 540

OpenStudy (wwe123):

is its regular polygon ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start by multiplying 180 by the number of angles, then subtract 360 (which in this case will 540). There's an official equation for this, but I'm not sure how to write it here! Now that you have 540, subtract the three 90 angles (or 540-270=270), so that you have the two x-angles. Since x is equal to x, you can divide the number you just got (270) by two to get x, which will be 135.

OpenStudy (phi):

you have 3 right angles and 2 x's. add them up: 90+90+90+x+x= 540 can you "solve for x"?

OpenStudy (wwe123):

phi is right

OpenStudy (wwe123):

x =135
