the limit of f(x) as x approaches 3 from the right equals 2 but from the left it does not exist. What function would fit this criteria?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

the cheapest trick would be to make a step function

OpenStudy (turingtest):

f(x)=3 for x>=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ yep. basically a jump function doesn't have a conjoined left and right limit. so if it has a right limit but not a left... it's a step or jump function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like that. the function jumps|dw:1347915621815:dw|

OpenStudy (turingtest):

but then the limit form the left would exist, so that doesn't quite fit the criteria

OpenStudy (turingtest):

it would have to be just|dw:1347915714206:dw|
