The Pope could not banish the king. He could certainly excommunicate the King, But, in the case of Henry VIII, Henry left the Catholic Church and created his own Church (Anglican Church). So, I would argue that the King is stronger since not only could he avoid the "punishment" of being excommunicated but he has the power to create his very own church. That to me seems much more powerful.

Well this things now a confusing that if the kings make the church he would be the new pope then as he will make more and more churches so he will take over the whole catholic system so i think its a bit confusing and would like to change my opinion to B

You are correct that Henry VIII was the new "Pope" of the Anglican Church. But, he was neither a Pope nor is the Anglican Church Catholic. The Anglican Church was a purely English Church created by Henry VIII so that he could divorce his wife and remarry.
