What would happen if nitrogen-fixing bacteria were removed from the nitrogen cycle?

The cycle pretty much just wouldn't work right?

Both bacteria fixate certain chemical compounds so that they can become soluble for the plants to take in as nutrients. Without the necessary nutrients they may suffer or even die as a result. This is a comparison as a sunflower.

Yeah the nitrogen cycle would pretty much fall over BUT don't forget there is another way nitrogen can get fixed in the soil
