when do you include the number when you are graphing sets of numbers? For ex: Plot positive integers less than 2...do you include 2?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

didn't you ask this before? You include 2 when it says less than or equal to 2. Here it doesn't say less than or equal to, it just says less than. Thus you do not include the 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, you don't because 2, is not less than 2, 2 is 2, make sense? Just think of it that way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but bahrom7893 is saying that you include 2 when it says less than and it DOES so i am confused :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depends, are you using the open and closed circles or are you just literally graphing it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its on a number line...I usually just plot the number below..so i would plot 1,0 and thats it.But when it says plot a positive real less than 2 i plot 2 with a open circle and 0 with a open circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, so you would go to 2, you would just use an open circle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and a open circle means not included??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

helloooooo
