PLEASE HELLPP Solve P=2(l+w) for I. Fill out this chart. P= 14 w=2 I=? P= 22 w=8 I=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Step 1: Expand the brackets on the right hand side. Step 2: Get all I terms on one side of the equals sign, everything else on the other side. Step 3: Get I on its own by division (will be by 2). Can you do these steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so first I would use the distributive property for 2(l+w) ? so it would be 2l+2w?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep that's Step 1 completed, now see if you can do steps 2 and 3 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me know what you get and I'll tell you if you're correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got: p-2w/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well done, make sure you include the brackets though: \[l=\frac{(p-2w)}{2}\] Now all you need to do is substitute the values you're given into that :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thank you so much! (:

No problem at all :)
