A prime number is a number that has no factors other than 1 and the number itself An example of this would be 5 Try finding 2 numbers that when multiplied equal 5 The only 2 numbers are 1and 5 which is the number itself = 1*5=5 Another example is 13. It has no factors besides 1and 13 since 1*13=13
