In physics (uniform circular motion) why is the velocity=omega w=2pi/T v=2pi/T so v=wr (w is omega)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1348169698329:dw| i believe it has something to do with tangents

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the position of any point on a circle is: (r cos(a) , r sin(a)) the derivative of position gives velocity -r sin(a), r cos(a) had a thought ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its derivative is with respect to the angle; and isnt omega the rate of the change of the angle?
