Solve the following inequality for y. 4x-9y>18

OpenStudy (aripotta):

subtract 4x from both sides and then divide by -9 on both sides. remember to flip the inequality sign because you divided by a negative

OpenStudy (aripotta):

it would be < not =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x-9y>18 this will be -9y>18-4x then U divide both sides by -9 u will get y=(18-4x)/-9 u can take it further if neccessary (by simplifying)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be y < 4/9x − 2?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

...no. the answer would be y < (18 - 4x)/-9
