TRUE OR FALSE If two angles are complements of the same angle, then they are equal in mesaure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

statement is true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do u KNOW that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought it was false because if the two 90 degree angles come from one point, the sum would be 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pitankar That does qualify as an idea but not an explanation :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angles which add up to 90 are complementary, thus 90-a and 90-b then a =b. where a and be are compliments to the same angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If something is a complement of an angle, then it is equal 90 minus original angle. If the other angle is also a complement, it equals the same thing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pitankar has it right above...

CONGRUENT COMPLEMENT THEOREM: If two angles are complements of the same angle (or of congruent angles), then the two angles are congruent. < means "Angle". Hypothesis:<1 and <2 are complementary.<2 and <3 are complementary. Conclusion: <1 equal and congruent to <3. I hope thats help.
