The derivative of y=(3x+14x)^2 (-2-8x) is.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a)(3+28x)8 b)(3+28x)(-2-8x)+(3x+14x^2)(-8) c)(3+28x)(-2-8x)-8 d)28x-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the question correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify first parenthesis and then product rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first of all simplify the equation... (17x)^2*(-2-8x) and then use simple differentiation, it will be a lot easier than using product rule ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think the question is stated properly. B appears to be the correct answer if you tweak the original question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry...some problem for the question... this is the correct one.. y=(3x+14x^2) (-2-8x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There ya go :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so..the ans is B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, it's the product rule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...thx
