OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

can anyone give me some link to learn about geometry in three dimensional space without vector? I mean, for example we want to find the distance between two points, the distance between points and line, the distance between two lines, or the distance between line and plane but not using vector, just using projection or such things. I've read that it's called descriptive geometry, is it correct? I cannot find a 'nice' source so far...

Maybe you would like Euclid? http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/java/elements/elements.html

Descriptive geometry is a way to represent 3D objects in 2D, like in architecture, 2 views and so on, maybe not what you mean? 3D is a bit different to 2D, different areas, solid geometry and so on. Many 2D formulas for say, distance, just generalize. And you have more specialized such as spherical geometry. Do you have more idea or you just want to study in general....
