What's Zeno paradoxes?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

a specific answer would be that they are paradoxes created by Zeno

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

a more specific answer is that they are riddle that boggles the laws of mathematics

Okay, i read about this in wikipedia. It says something about Achilles and the tortoise race. How do we explain this race by mathematics?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He uses equations to explain that motion is an illusion. He uses one analogy with achilles and the tortoise. He says that if the tortoise has a head start, then it doesn't matter how fast achilles is moving, he will never catch up to the tortoise, because there are an infinite amount of points between them that achilles has to reach before the tortoise. I think there are infinite sequences involved in the actual math.
