5(2x-3)=15 ?
distribute 10x -15 = 15 x = 3
you have to be able to solve things like that, you just do some simple math... do you have any idea on how to do it?
see how i did that?
Hmmm ... Kinda ? /:
he just multiplies... it is true that a(x+y)=ax+ay, in your case, 5*(2x+3)=5*2x+5*3=10x+15
Briana what math are you in?
Algebra 1 . ive been in that class for a while now cuz i keep failing it and i dont have any math credits !
get tutoring
you should get tutoring or take good notes and study hard :) helped me succeed in algebra i'm in geometry now...
5(2x-3)=15 that means 5 times (stuff in parens) the first step is multiply every term inside the parens by 5. can you do that?
so i would do 2*3 ?
5(2x-3) means 5 times each thing inside the parens: 5*2x and 5* -3 can you multiply every term by 5: 5(2x-3)

how would i do it if it looked like this 3d+d-7=25/4 ??
this will explain it http://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/solving-linear-equations-and-inequalities/v/combining-like-terms
same thing like terms thats all
This video talks about solving an equation http://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/solving-linear-equations-and-inequalities/v/simple-equations
ight. thanks C:
