if the length , the width and the height of a prism are doubled, the volume increases how many times?

Directrix (directrix):

Apply this theorem: If two solids are similar, the the ratio of their volumes is the cube of the scale factor of the two solids. If the dimensions are doubled, then the scale factor from small to large prism is 1/2. What is the cube of the number (1/2)? The denominator of the cube is the number you seek.

It increases 8 times from the original length, width and height.

I tried different numbers to substitute lwh and I got 8 times. So I think you should try substituting number too and see if my answer is right or wrong :) I hope that helps.

I did! I said that he/she substitutes a number for lwh and divide it to the original numbers' volume.
