could someone explain to me how to write a strong thesis statement for a rhetorical analysis or maybe a syntheses...or basically any english paper...I always had trouble with those :/

From what I understand, rhetorical analysis is essentially speaking/speech techniques to get a point across. To write a thesis for that, or any topic, you would first need an idea.
A thesis sentence tries to provide a summation of ideas and combine/address ideas that will be later discussed in an essay.

For example, an essay on the merits of fruit would have a thesis along the lines of 'Fruits are delicious', a statement that would be supported with ideas in other paragraphs, like 'Apples are good' or 'Oranges are good' and etc.

Thank you! and like when they give you a prompt and how you have to somehow describe your topic sentences in your thesis without listing them. For example if I wanted to write about the literary devices in a passage I would say
...Maria Edgeworth portrays Clarence Hervey through her omniscient narration, tone, and diction to describe Hervey's complex character...
but my teacher told me that was wrong since I listed the narration, tone, and diction O.O
