If the tides are caused by the moon and we only have one moon, how come there are two tides a day?

The moons gravity pulls the ocean towards it, giving you one tide. But at the same time the moons gravity is weakest on the opposite side of the planet, which allows the centrifugal force from the earths rotation to create the second tide.
