What is true for the graph of f(x)=-e^x+2? a) the y axis is a vertical asymptote b) the line y=2 is a horizontal asymptote c) the line x=2 is a vertical asymptote d) the x axis is a horizontal asymptote

zepdrix (zepdrix):

hmm let's compare it to g(x)=e^x which has an asymptote along the x-axis (y=0). f(x) is g(x) but it is negative, and has been shifted 2 units UP What does that tell us about our asymptote? :)

Thank you for helping, but I still do not understand what the correct answer is.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

woops i may have graphed e^-x... i hope i didn't -_- thinking...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, its -e

zepdrix (zepdrix):

woops i did, fixing that :o
