Where do i start just joined to learn programming? I am a beginner.
Just joined the "6.00x Introduction to Computer Science and Programming" course as well. On the email sent out yesterday, the team mentioned that "Starting on October 1, there will be new lecture videos and homework assignments posted every Monday at 10:00 AM EST." I would wait till Monday for some material to be uploaded and take it from there. That's my plan anyway. If anyone does have more info, I would like to know too. Thanks, Chris.
The spring 2011 version of the course is at the link before if you want to peruse it for additional practice. That site also has many other additional courses. http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00sc-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-spring-2011/index.htm
I just joined the class too. Should I start downloading the Python program already so I can work on the exercises in the spring 2011 version. Is the Python 2.5.4 still the recommended version as mentioned in that class or is ver. 2.5.7 also okay?
I will agree with Chris on this. All the best all. Cheers
I would start by reading the syllabus and downloading a 2.5.X version of Python, you can also view the lecture. You can get more comfortable with this learning format by interacting with classmates, asking and answering questions and teamwork, boost your smartscore.
How can I access the new topic b'se what I saw is 2008 only. any help
