please help me on this math question i only have a couple i need help on :) heres the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Any ideas on any of them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think i have the first one right idk though i need serious help with my math

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok show me what you got on the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i said it was 180(n-2)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

good

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the sum of all the angles in any n-gon is 180(n-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ,i don't really know any more of them

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so a) is 180(n-2) --------------------------------- b) now in any regular n-gon, the interior angles are equal, so you take the sum of all the angles and you divide it by n to get the measure of one interior angle so the measure of each interior angle is \[\Large \frac{180(n-2)}{n}\]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

for any polygon, the sum of the exterior angles is always 360 degrees how would you find the measure of one exterior angle (all ext angles are equal and there are n of them)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk really would you times n by 360

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

close, you actually take 360 and you divide it by n

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so each ext angle is 360/n degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay that makes more since lol

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that's great

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the only thing left to do is add the answers you got for b) and d)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't do D though

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh, that's 360/n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought that was C ok hold on heres what i have A.180(n-2) ,B.180(n-2) divided by n ,C. 360 divided n .

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

C is just 360

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

C is the sum of all n ext angles, which is 360 degrees

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

D is 360/n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay yeah sorry was confused for a minute

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that's ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok how would i do E again

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

add the answers from b) and d)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

tell me what you get
