@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you have excel?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

make 2 columns first column is the price and the second column is the number sold

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

then use the chart wizard to make a scatter plot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the relationship?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

did you get a scatter plot?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

can a straight line go through all points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you should have gotten this

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

but a straight line still can't go through all the points, but notice how as the price increases, the number sold decreases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the relationship?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'd say a decreasing relationship or inverse relationship...can't really say it's a linear relationship.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Not entirely sure what they're looking for though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
