are you guys as lost as i am? :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AroPorta, without using any similarities or information provided by the products of all the segments, this is just a simple a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Is this supposed to be a trick question? Or is the question supposed to be done the l-o-n-g way just to demonstrate the theorem?

hartnn (hartnn):

2nd seems true

OpenStudy (aripotta):

the theory is a^2 +b^2 = c^2, why do all the answers have multiplication in them and not addition?

hartnn (hartnn):

did u try to use similarity of triangle to find proportional sides?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

...no. can you show me how to do that?
