Choose the correct procedure for calculating (f − g)(−2) if f(x) = 13x2 and g(x) = 7x − 5. Calculate f(−2) and g(−2), then subtract them. Calculate f(−2) and g(−2), then add them together. Calculate f(−2) and g(−2), then write the results as an ordered pair. Calculate g(−2), plug the result into f(x) and simplify.

OpenStudy (amorfide):

well split it up so you have F(-2) - g(-2) substitute x=-2 into each f unction and subtract answers

i still dont understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would the answer be B because -2 replaces all the (x)'s and then i add them together??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait im srry i just read wat u put lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so AAA??

OpenStudy (amorfide):

if you have (f − g)(−2) you have to do them seperately so you wuold do f(-2) - G(-2) this means your original function, you would replace all x's with -2 then you would have to s ubtract the two answers

ok so A right?
