Hey i'm new to this but i'm in grade 8 and i want to learn grd 9 math during the week ends, would anybody know which math course to take on free math help? thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is grade 9 math called? Does it have a course title?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What have you been learning over the past two years?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would take your basic algebra 1 skills and some geometry but ninth grade math is algebra.

kk

if you need any help, I don't mind (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

math courses go in order, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, then calculus. whichever one you've completed, go to the next one. if you haven't completed any, start at the beginning! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what beginning?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start with arithmetic, then algebra and geometry (usually algebra comes first, so you can use algebra to help you solve geometry problems), then you can do more algebra and/or trigonometry, pre-calculus, statistics, etc. It's usually a good idea to try a pre-calc / trig-analytic geometry course before jumping into calculus.

ok thanks cliff

algebra is the beginning.. at least thats hpw it is at my school

@jamestutu it really depends on what you are learning currently and how you feel about what you did in math last year. What kinds of problems do you think you've mastered? What kinds do you still struggle with? If you don't know how to find factors and multiples, and you aren't proficient at adding and multiplying fractions, then you'll need a pre-algebra course before attempting algebra. If you can handle all the arithmetic operations with any numbers and already know how to solve some equations, then go ahead and start learning some proper algebra. (taking a look at the fundamentals of geometry too isn't a bad idea).

OpenStudy (precal):

also, check out www.khanacademy.org if you sign into their website they have practice problems don't forget to study precal or trig before calculus
