(x+3) ^2 factor WITHOUT foil

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zepdrix sorrry i keep on bothering you, but you explain stuff the best to me :$

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Without foil? hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's something like: square the first term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

something to the second

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Do they want you to use pascal's triangle type thing? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, it's like what you learn before the foil method.. it's been a while lool

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Well, I think it comes from Pascal's Triangle :) let me show you real quick and see if it matches up with what you're thinking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand "factor without FOIL" - factoring and FOILing are opposite operations. You can't do one at the same time as the other.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

expand *** sorry i meat to say expand :$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, then yeah, I'd go with Pascal's Triangle too.
