I'm copying and pasting part of my reply to a conversation I was having earlier with someone on Facebook Space is a three dimensional concept because space allows objects to exist and have a position and a direction relative to the observer. Space is what creates distances between objects or bodies in the universe. Since the universe is still expanding, space must be finite and not infinite. If you say that space is infinite then inadvertently you're also saying that mass is also infinite. Mass and energy are not infinite. The mass of the universe is finite.

∴ space is finite. In other words, space does have a limit or boundary as you put it James.
