OpenStudy (aripotta):

.-.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

what do you guys think? how would i explain them? :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parallel lines can be railway tracks and perpendicular lines can be corners of walls of a room

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i was thinking tracks as well, but those could also be used for perpendicular lines, so i wanted something that has no perpendicularness

OpenStudy (anonymous):

railway tracks dont have any perpendiculars?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

see, all along the sides where they meet makes them perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but 2 big ones are always parallel but small and big one always perpendicular. so we have both in one real life example

OpenStudy (aripotta):

could i use the same example for both kinds of lines?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

it says 2 examples :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P then give another example for perpendicular

OpenStudy (aripotta):

omg my bed sheets have parallel lines

OpenStudy (aripotta):

they're striped. so i could use them as an example

OpenStudy (aripotta):

and then use train tracks for perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but try to use train tracks as parallel lines because that is given in most standard text
