3(2x + 5) > 2(x + 6)

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

First you gotta simplify by distributing \(6x+15>2x+12\) Then we gotta bring the x's to one side and the other values to the other side \(6x-2x+15>2x-2x+12\) \(4x+15>12 \(4x+15-15>12-15\) \(4x>-3\) \(\large{4x \over 4}>{-3 \over 4}\) \(x>\large{-3 \over 4}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the distributive prop. so your new answer would be 6x + 15 > 2x + 12 then get your x's on both sides so subtract 2x so you get 4x + 15 > 12 then subtract 15 and you will get 4x > -3 then divide by 4 and you get your answer to be x > -3/4
