10/3 +1/5 t= 2?

\[\frac{10}{3}+\frac{1}{5}t=2\] That look's like what your problem is . you solve this problem by isolating the variable. First, subtract 10/3 from both sides. \[\frac{1}{5}t=2-\frac{10}{3}\] Simplify to get \[\frac{1}{5}t=2-\frac{10}{3}=2*\frac{3}{3}-\frac{10}{3}=\frac{6}{3}-\frac{10}{3}=\frac{-4}{3}\] Then, to get rid of the 1/5, you multiply both sides by 5. \[\frac{1}{5}t*5=\frac{-4}{3}*5\] \[t=\frac{-20}{3}\]
