If 2r=5s = 6t, what does r equal in terms of t? a. 12/25t b.6/5t c.3t d.15t e.30t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U can just pretend that 5s isn't there (transitivity) so 2r = 6t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Got it now..??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer key says 30t...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you solve 2r=6t to get 30 t? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Either "2r=6t " is wrong or the answer key is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as given is 2r=5s = 6t this means all the three are equal so you can write, 2r=6t r= 6t/2 r= 3t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

damn, sorry guys, i wrote the question wrong.. this is what over an hour of sat studying does.. gimme a sec to re-write it.. really sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 2r=5s and 5s=6t, what does r equal in terms of t?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now, it is same question... if 2r=5s and 5s=6t means all three are equal..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i see that now, but how do I get 30t from that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if question will be like, if 2r=5s and 5s=60t.... then you'll get the same answer as in your key..
