I have no idea how to start but I did question a! 4a) The median of four scores is 12. If two of the scores are 7 and 15, write possible values for the other two scores (I wrote 12,12; 11, 13; 10, 14; 9, 15) 4b) Four scores have a range of 10 and their median is 13. Two of the scores are 7 and 9. What are the other two scores 4c) The man of four scores is 20. If one score is 18, what are the possible values of the other three scores?

good so far :)

But how do I do 4b and 4c?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

4b) median is greater that 7 and 9 so other 2 scores must be greater than 13 also , the 2 middle numbers must avg out to 13 --> (x+9)/2 = 13 --> x =17 Range is max -min .... max -7 = 10 --> max = 17 therefore the other 2 numbers must be 17,17

Sorry, I don't really get it. Can you explain it again please?
