That's pretty general. I guess the first step is to pick a language to program in. Then read some documentation for that language like basic commands. Then experiment starting with basics operations like (+,-,etc). Read some more. Experiment some more. Read some more. Experiment some more ....

Look around, http://see.stanford.edu has an into course that I recommend. MIT has a very popular intro course, IMO is too much math, but they're an engineering institute http://ocw.mit.edu . CourseA has courses https://www.coursera.org/ . Look around this site, there are others. Don't get too concerned about what language they use. Once you learn the generic parts of programming (algorithms/data structures/programming idioms) picking up a new language isn't that big a deal.

Udacity has some great tutorials as well, they have a different approach to teaching, but once you start to scratch code you'll learn more and more anywhere.  OWC, breaks into the details and nuances of programming in a way that is unmatched with other online learning systems.
