How do you graph inequalities and there solution sets ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

by defining a boundary line/curve and shading in the side of the boundary that produces true results

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the boundary line is produced by graphing the equation for its equailty; for example if given ax + by < c ; the boundary is ax + by = c and its appearance is adjusted for "eqaul to" or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So , how do we solve to figure out what to graph ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

once a boundary line is established; we grab a point that is clearly on one side of the line and test it in the expression to determine if it is a solution or not; if its not, then that side is false. If it IS a solution, then that side is true
