Does anyone know how to find the Range and Domain of y=|2x-3|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you think about absolute value, everything that comes out of those brackets is going to be greater than 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you know the range is going to be all Y values such as Y >= 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you I just found that the range is all real numbers I just need to find the Domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. the domain is much easier :) it is simply the values x can assume ... so what values can u plug into that equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure .. all real numbers ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the range would be all real numbers so that y is greater than or equal to 0. it cannot be less than o because of the abs value sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep.. domain is the set of all real numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you for your help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good luck.
