It is easier to graph the equation when it is in y=mx+b (slope intercept form). Doing some algebra, we see that your equation is equal to y=3x-6. From this equation we know that the slope is positive 3 and the y intercept is (0,-6). You can also plug in x values and solve for y to make a table and plot a graph after.

I have never thought about how bhaskarbabu did it. That is easier than my method. plug in 0 for x and solve for y to get a point on the graph then do the same thing for when y=0 to get the other point. Then connect the two points and extend the line.
