Write an equation for the line described in standard form. (The formula to do standard form is y - y1 = m (x-x1) An example of standard form of a linear equation is Ax + By = C. with x-intercept 4 and y-intercept 5; if the answer is 5x + 4y = 20, how would you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y - y1 = m (x-x1) is point slope form. Standard form is ax + by = c. So you're trying to go to point slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I'm trying to go to standard form and that's the formula the book says to use. The chapter is about writing equations in point-slope form.
