What is the equation of a line, in general form, with a point (-3, 0) and an undefined slope? x + 3 = 0 y + 3 = 0 x - 3 = 0 y - 3 = 0

OpenStudy (nory):

My math teacher says, "If there is no y, then there is no slope!" So you can right now eliminate all the ones with y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use point slope form, and since you do not need to use any specific parameter, you are done once you put the equations into point slope form. And from the looks of it, the equation of the line is just going to be Y=0, because there is no slope, eliminating more than half of the point slope form to begin with.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the slope is undefined when the line is vertical so yes the equation does not contain y

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

which of the equations in x sa-tsfies x = -3 ?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

* satisfies x = -3

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

x + 3 = 0 then plug in x = -3 what does the left hand side work out to?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

i'll draw the line |dw:1349965108110:dw|
