I don't understand this at alllll considering my answer options. Help? Write the equation of a line with an undefined slope and point (1, 7). My answer options: A. y=7 B. x=7 C. y=1 D. x=1 This seriously makes no sense to me.
I'm not looking for an answer. I just need to know how to solve it.
Lines with undefined slopes are a) horizontal or b) vertical ???
ahhhh, gotcha! duhh so simple! lol thanks!
that explains the x and y. x is horizontal. y is vertical.
ok... so slopes go between m = 0 ( a horizontal line) |dw:1350018405797:dw| an undifined slope has a value of zero in the denominator...
kinda... Equations such as x = 2, x = 3, x =4, etc are all vertical lines (with undefined slopes) Equations such as y = 1, y = 5, y = 17, etc are all horizontal lines (with slopes of zero)
So because it has an undefined slope, its in the form x = k where k is any number
ohh.. wait a minute. i was thinking of something else. lol what you just said made it clearer. thanks! :)
so what value of k will make x = k go through (1, 7) ?
