I attached the question. Pwease help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

the polygon is in the shape of trapezium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know three out of the four angles of a quadrilateral, you can solve for the fourth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all triangles have to add up to 180 degreess!! that doesnt work!!!!

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

this polygon is trapezium

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

and the area of trapezium=1/2*sum of parallels sides*height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then its 135?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area is irrelevant, @mayankdevnani. The four angles of a quadrilateral add up to 360º

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it doesnt make sence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the answerr?? 135?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you think that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the triange has to add up to 180! and if you add the bigger number it s 225, but if you add the smaller one its lowere then 180!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What triangle are you seeing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at the bottom!! if you cut off the top and make it a squaree!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the picture that I see from the file you posted: |dw:1350051780236:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would make a triangle and a rectangle, but that would make your situation more difficult.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!! so , if you cut over from c (or h) you get a triangel and a rectangle (not square soory) so i need the measure of angle J!! and js in the triangle. so h plus j plus the top right corner must equal 180. correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, that's fine, and what is that top right corner?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1350052007637:dw| Yes, that's correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, h is 135 as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think about what happens to that 135º angle when you cut it like that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of my gosh!! did it divide in half??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. |dw:1350052088746:dw| HKJ = 90 GHJ = 135 What is GHK?
