Choose the equation of the line passing through the point (2, 6) and parallel to y = -3x - 4. y = 3x - 12 y = -3x y = -3x + 12 y = 3x

the answer is y = -3x + 12. The reason is we need a parallel line. A parallel line has the same slope as the given funciton which is -3 in this question. So you can easily eliminate A and D. Now that you are left with B and C as you choices. Plug in x = 2 into both equations. Only answer choice C returns a y value of +6. That is the answer. Let me know if I can clarify!
