What is one of the zeros of the function shown in this graph? (will attach graph in a sec!) ****IDk how to find this... please explain! thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and there are no answer choices :/ thanks!! GRAPH!

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The zeros are where the graph crosses the x-axis. Your answer should be in the form of x= Do you see them? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are they (-3,0) and (1,0) right? :) so what does that mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right....

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yes very good ^^ You don't need to write them as an ordered pair though, since they're zeros it implies that y will always be zero, so you can write them as x=-3, x=1 :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means that if you put these values of x in the given equation, its value becomes zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and it is only asking for ONE of the zeros, so i can just write x=1 ????? is that correct?? since it is only asking for one? :D

zepdrix (zepdrix):

mhmm :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk thanks :)
