how do i graph y=3x+5

Parth (parthkohli):

Use slope-intercept form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyway youcould give me answer?

Parth (parthkohli):

We know that this is a linear equation, so there's no harm in knowing two points.

Parth (parthkohli):

One point, the \(\rm y\)-intercept, is (0,5). Second point, by a little plug-and-play, is (1,8). Now pass a line through these points and you are done.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your y-intercept is 5 and your slope is 3. you start at 5 and you go up 3 and over one !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y int 5 is gonna go on the vertical line of graph? right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yess ! the y-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what grade are you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find slope of line joining the points (2,4) and (4,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo ok ! did yuh graph it ?
