I'm done as well, as of 5 minutes ago ;-). The only thing that I really stumbled upon was the str(pi) exercise at codecademy. Only after a night's sleep did I see that I had a typo in my value of pi, boy oh boy, did I feel stupid ..

@MOOC-E Mookie, there is one question that’s been popping up — since there is no central brain to evaluate our assignments, what should we do with them? Just discuss them within our groups or are there any better suggestions?

@hook If you're really sure you understand the concept, our suggestion is that you just save them on your laptop for later reference. If you are struggling, need help, want a critique of the code--post here or share with your group.

I've done the reading in HTTLACS and the 2 Codecademy units. Hopefully gonna get to the MIT course stuff tonight or tomorrow. Going very smoothly so far.

Am currently dappling with which Python environment to download and install and what all things I need to make that work. Should be fine. Content-wise, everything is breezy.

Finished the lectures, readings, exercises. Now reviewing the CodeAcademy units and finding that all the problems with CodeAcademy are still there, unresolved. I thought that CodeAcademy was going to get fixed when the class started. Nope. Still have to fight with the softtware to get the green progress bar to disappear. Sometimes can reload the page till blue in the face and that darned progress bar won't go away.

Been through nearly all the materials for week 1 and done most of the tasks. I think i'll have to revise some long forgotten math! (I did struggle with that a little!)
I did have some probs with codecademy and the 'loading bar/interpreter not running the code' . (I've done quite a bit on there this year, with very few issues...)

@petew71 There will be some trig and you may want to review the quadratic equation for later on. Khan Academy ( http://www.khanacademy.org) is a good place for a quick review.

@Screech @MOOC-E re: the green bar on Codecademy, I had a lot of trouble with this while using Internet Explorer, but I switched to Chrome and have not had any trouble since.

2d optional exercise for Week 2 (the shifted code) is proving difficult. The instruction regarding the use of modulus is unclear. There are easy ways to do the shift, of course, but somehow I can't get the algorithm right with %
