check this for me: "Find the derivative of the following function by first expanding the expression. f(x)=(6x+1)(5x^2+8), I ended up with 90x^2+10x, please tell me if i'm wrong and why :)

OpenStudy (cruffo):

I got almost the same thing: 90x^2 + 10x + 48

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

the derivative of 48 is 0.

OpenStudy (cruffo):

the term with the coefficient of 48 should have an x with it...

OpenStudy (cruffo):

6x * 8 = 48x

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

correcto :)

OpenStudy (cruffo):

bien!

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

*90x^3+10x^2+48x

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= 30x³ + 5x² + 48x + 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then take y' !

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

woopsies, I should end up with 90X^2+10x+48

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

right?

OpenStudy (cruffo):

yah. You got it.

OpenStudy (frankypoo):

Thanks man
