x^-3y/4z^-2
Are you supposed to simplify this? Or write it without negative exponents?
\[\frac{ x ^{-3}y }{4z ^{-2} }\]
What are you supposed to do with this? I would guess they are asking you to "write using only positive exponents." But that is just a guess.
he said something about flipping recipucal and making it positive
i think it would be \[\frac{ z ^{2}y }{ 4x^{3} } \]
Yup, that's what I thought. :-p Your answer is correct. "re-write using only positive exponents." Here's a 3d graph if the function, just because.
so that is in its simpliest form?
"1 over x to the k equals x to the negative k" or, using math symbols: \[\huge \frac{1}{x^k}= x^{-k}\] And yes, there is nothing that can be cancelled in the numerator or denominator.
ok thanks
