lol you still with this cute problem domain: (-infinity,4)(4,infinity) range: (-infinity,3)(3,infinity)

|dw:1350920043994:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain will be all x except x = 4 range will be all y except y = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i included in this question lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

charlotteakina Domain: what will make 1/(x-4) undefined x - 4 = 0 what is x? x = 4 The domain is all values of x except for x = 4 The range is all real numbers except 3 --------------------------------------------- thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what grade are you in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

come on that stuff id piece of cake and you can do it :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the graph for 1/x without any shifts |dw:1350921139532:dw| \[\frac{ 1 }{ x-4 }+3\] the 3 will cause the graph to shift up 3 units; the -4 will shift the graph 4 units to the right |dw:1350921292806:dw| if you look at the graph it will never cross x = 4; because 1/x-4=1/0 which will be undefined where all other values for x can be found so domain will be all real numbers except x = 4 if you look at the graph it will never cross y = 3; 3=1/(x-4)+3 you will have no solution not sure if i explained it well
