what is the difference between the three monotheistic faith books??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I assume you’re referring to the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran. The most basic difference is that Torah came first, the bible second, and then the Quran. The Torah teaches that a messiah is yet to come, the Bible teaches that the Messiah has come(it’s the Torah and the new testament combined, basically) and the Quran I’m less familiar with, but I understand that it teaches that there was not a messiah, and that the Torah and the Bible are corrupt.

Ah, and the Torah and bible are famous for the 10 commandments, while the Quran is for the 6 pillars of Islam.

Just to add to Jaccy's answer, the Qu'ran also doesn't consider Jesus as the Messiah, either, but respects him as a great prophet. Instead, the Qu'ran is considered by Muslims to be the final testament by the last Prophet, who they consider to be Muhammad, and as the uncorrupted teachings from God which he had been given. That's why Muslims don't follow either the Old or New Testaments and rely only on the Qu'ran.
